Functions
One primary aim of the web site is to provide the Western audience the latest and fastest source of information about the development of Christianity in China. Part of our information is from the China Christian Council (CCC) and its many branches of local churches. This will be made possible via a partnership with the CCC. We are separate and independent from the CCC. Non-CCC news sources will be used as well.

All opinions expressed in the China News and China Contours editorial articles are not necessarily the views of the management of Christianity In China web site or of the other contributing authors.

Another primary function of the web site is to produce a weekly electronic China Contours editorial article which can reach out to various constituencies and provide a more comprehensive understanding of the China ministry.

Christian Leadership Exchange (CLE)How was CLE established?

The Christian Leadership Exchange (CLE) was established in 1994 by a group of brothers and sisters who are interested in the Church of China and are burdened with the Gospel ministry to the Chinese people.  This cluster of people had already been involved with China through another ministry, Educational Services Exchange with China (ESEC), which was established in 1980.  Over a decade of involvement with China provided them first-hand experiences in many facets of Chinese society and the many opportunities for Christian involvement.  In realizing the significant growth of the Chinese Church during the 1980's and 1990's, in recognition of the amazing grace of God in the midst of the Chinese, and in response to the Great Commission, CLE was established to work directly with the Church in China through servanthood ministry.  There are four members in the Board of CLE: Rev. Victor Chan, Rev. Pak Fai Chan, Dr. Wing Pang and Dr. Danny Yu.  Presently the Administrative Director of CLE is Dr. Wing Pang, the Director for International Relations is Dr. Peter Lai, and the President is Dr. Danny Yu.
